Maharadia Lawana, an ambigram

This is an ambigram of Maharadia Lawana (Maharajah Ravana), an epic Maranao adaptation of the Ramayana. Believed to have arrived in Lanao between the 17th and 19th centuries, but some key points of the story had already been indigenized by the time it was catalogued in the 1960s. Initially conceived around 2010, the latest form of the ambigram was finished in 2024, although this iteration is recent. Owing to the length of the phrase, the letterform is a simplified style of an older, unrelated piece.
